Reader-supported. We may earn a commission from links on this site. How we fund our work

Full transparency

Affiliate disclosure & medical disclaimer

The short version: we earn commissions when you buy through some of our links, it costs you nothing extra, and it does not change what we tell you. Here's the long version.

FTC affiliate disclosure

Trusted Health Insight is reader-supported. Some of the links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, we may receive a commission from the merchant.

This costs you nothing. You pay the same price you would have paid going to the merchant directly. The commission comes out of the merchant's margin, not your wallet.

This disclosure is made in accordance with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising (16 CFR Part 255). We disclose our material connection to any product we link to — clearly, up front, and every single time.

What that money does and doesn't buy

We think you deserve to know exactly where the incentives sit, so here it is without spin.

What commissions do NOT buy

A positive review. Merchants cannot pay for a favorable conclusion. Our product boxes all include a "skip it if" section, and we publish it whether or not it costs us the sale.

Editorial input. No merchant, advertiser, or affiliate network sees our articles before publication, and none of them can request edits, removals, or softer language.

Silence about limits. We say plainly that supplements are not a foundation, that no product can cure anything, and that food, sleep, and consistency do the actual work.

We also want to be honest about the obvious: we have a financial interest in you clicking these links. That's a real conflict, and pretending otherwise would be the dishonest move. Our answer to it is the same three things every time — disclose it loudly, publish the limits alongside the upside, and cite sources you can independently check so you never have to take our word for anything.

Where affiliate links appear

  • Inside clearly labelled product boxes within articles, each carrying its own disclosure.
  • Occasionally in the article text, where the product is directly relevant.
  • In sidebar modules, always labelled.

Every article that contains an affiliate link carries a disclosure notice at the top of the page, above the content — not buried at the bottom. The banner at the very top of every page on this site says the same thing.

Products currently featured on this site include SLIMTIDE, a daily supplement marketed to support appetite control, digestive comfort, and everyday energy alongside a healthy diet. We earn a commission on purchases made through our links to it.

Medical disclaimer

Not medical advice

The content on Trusted Health Insight is provided for general informational and educational purposes only. It is not medical advice, it is not a diagnosis, and it is not a treatment plan. It cannot take account of your medical history, your medications, or your individual circumstances.

We are an editorial team, not healthcare providers. Nothing on this site should be used as a substitute for professional medical advice. Always seek the guidance of your physician, registered dietitian, pharmacist, or another qualified health professional with any questions you have about a medical condition, your diet, or a supplement.

Talk to a professional before starting any diet, exercise program, or supplement — and particularly if you are pregnant, nursing, under 18, taking prescription medication, or living with a condition such as diabetes, thyroid disease, kidney disease, an eating disorder, or a digestive disorder.

Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something you read here. If you think you may have a medical emergency, call your doctor or 911 immediately.

FDA statement

These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. Products mentioned on this site are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.

Dietary supplements are not regulated by the FDA in the way that prescription medications are. They are not required to prove effectiveness before going to market. That is a fact about the entire category — not a criticism of any single product — and we think you should know it before you buy anything from anyone, including us.

Results disclaimer

Individual results vary. No result is typical or guaranteed.

Weight loss depends on your diet, your activity, your sleep, your genetics, your medications, your health conditions, and your consistency over time. No article, no plan, and certainly no supplement can promise you an outcome — and anyone who does is telling you something they cannot possibly know.

We do not publish testimonials, transformation photographs, or personal results, and no one on our team claims to have used any product we link to. When we cite a study, we report the average result the researchers actually measured, along with the size and length of the study, so you can judge it for yourself.

Questions about this policy?

We are not the manufacturer. We do not make, sell, ship, or support any product mentioned here. Questions about a product — ingredients, orders, refunds, side effects — must go to that company directly, through the contact details on their own site. We have no access to their records and would only be guessing.

If you think we've crossed a line anywhere on this site, we genuinely want to hear about it — see our corrections policy and who to contact. An editorial contact address is being set up and will be published there.
